Cherry juice is packed with many rich nutrients. Cherry juice has protein, fat, vitamin A, C, K manganese, potassium, and copper. The potassium can aid in post workout recovery, along with helping with hydration. The antioxidants from cherries help to reduce pain, swelling and inflammation. This is great for people that have joint pain or gout.

My Father use to get gout several times a year, then roughly twenty years ago he started mixing cherry juice concentrate in a daily drink, he has not had issues with gout since, my Father is currently 89 years old

The antioxidants in cherries can really help boost your immunity. Plants with flavonoids, a type of antioxidant, are known to help fight infections. The anti-inflammatory properties have been found to help some individuals with insomnia.

From this you can see how great a little cherry juice can help you. The best cherries for the information I just covered is the tart cherries, especially Montmorency. I personally like Stanton Orchards Montmorency Tart Cherry Juice from Natural Grocers. If you don’t have a Natural Grocers in your area, if you don’t want a concentrate, Cheribundi Tart Cherry Juice from Amazon is a good choice. Amazon also has this as a good choice for a concentrate, Sweet Montmorency Tart Cherry Juice Concentrate.

I love when I can find natural foods that can help with my health and give me the ability to avoid medications. I like mixing my cherry juice in some iced herbal tea, great combination and good for the body. As we look at our Health Over Fifty, a cherry juice drink each day may be beneficial.
