Have a Great 4th!

This weekend is the 4th of July. Normally this would be a weekend full of parties, to much food and drinks. But this year with the majority of normal events canceled because of the chaos of the world, what will this year be like? For us it will be a small family event at home, which makes it easy to maintain my good eating habits. Look at the positive side of all of these crazy times, more time with family and no better time than being at home to work on your own health.

We plan on going on a hike, some great exercise and eating veggies from our own garden. Just look how the events have slowed our family down. This is not a bad thing; in these times it is important to look for the good in all of this.

I want to leave you with a few good quotes to think about this weekend.

"If you have a positive attitude and constantly strive to give your best effort, eventually you will overcome your immediate problems and find you are ready for greater challenges." --Pat Riley

"You have it easily in your power to increase the sum total of this world's happiness now. How? By giving a few words of sincere appreciation to someone who is lonely or discouraged. Perhaps you will forget tomorrow the kind words you say today, but the recipient may cherish them over a lifetime." --Dale Carnegie

“Hope is important because it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today.” – Thich Nhat Hanh

“In times of great stress or adversity, it’s always best to keep busy, to plow your anger and your energy into something positive.” – Lee Iacocca

Do not let the chaos of the world get to you. Build on “you” during these times and when this passes, see how great you have become! Have a great 4th!
