Real Life Problems
It has been a while since I have shared anything about my health. I have been dealing with some of the real things that happen to people. Exercising, eating and personal wellness can get derailed very easy. Don't think that all the people talking about health and wellness have it in control at all time, the secret is to dust yourself off and get back on your plan.
Back in 2020 I caught COVID, I had some real problems with my lungs after that. This past fall I caught a generic cold. The cold got into my lungs again and really knocked me down. I spend three months trying every kind of asthma medication, nothing worked. In this time, I was run down from coughing day and night. I didn't eat well, I didn't exercise and I slowly started having problems with my diabetes. In January I started to come out of it, really not sure any of the medications really helped. But with all of this I gained 20 pound, my blood pressure increased and my A1c also went up.
Now it is time for me to take my own advise and start over. I have complete confidence that I can get myself back to where I was.
Three weeks ago I did my juice cleanse that I have talked about on this blog. After the cleanse I have been focusing on managing my macros within my diet. I have also start riding my stationary bike, this week I get back to strength training. I was having a hard time keeping my blood sugar in range, so I started a few weeks ago with the Libre 2 Continuous Glucose Monitor. This is definitely helping track better, but they are not easiest to maintain. I struggle keeping it on with exercising and hitting the hot tub.
I write this today to share that we all have struggles from time to time, but the secret is to get back to a plan that works for you. Just because I had a few months of issues doesn't mean I should give up for ever. I plan to get a post out more often with my success.
I know that if I can recover from a health set back, then anyone can. If there is anything I can help you with, shoot me a message.
