Happy Healthy Holiday's
Updated: Sep 4
We are nearing the end of another crazy year. Seems like every year after Covid there is a competition to match the chaos the 2020 brought. We started off the year with shortages of many items across the world, to now and the economy is nearing a major crash and abundance of a lot of items. These past years have added a lot of stress to everyone. But this raises a question for everyone, how are you dealing with the chaos of the world along with the busyness of the holiday's and your health?
So often we let the outside forces in our life influence our health. Some people eat to receive stress, other may skip much needed exercising because of being to busy or we may just get overwhelmed with the treats of the holiday's. How do you deal with all of this? this is exactly why the gym's fill up and exercise equipment sales skyrocket in January.
The best solution I have found to this holiday time dilemma is a lyfestle change. If we truly change our mindset and live a healthy life every day, it is much easier to manage these outside infuences. This is the best thing we can do for ourselves if we have diabetes or just trying to maintain our health. I really don't have the temptations that I use to have and I have learned ways to avoid food encounters. I carry a protien drink, protien bars or nuts to have if you get at a party with nothing to eat. It all begins with getting our mind in a spot we can plan and easily avoid the holiday treats.
I want to tell everyone that I am in better shape than i have been in all of my life. I have one year left of being in my fifties and I will hit the big 60. It totally amazes me that I can be in the, healthy shape of my life, at this age. It takes work and effort, but I will say that it is worth it. Had another diabetic check up a couple of weeks ago and my numbers are great. Gladly share my plan if you have an interest.
With that I want to wish everyone a Happy Healthy Holiday's! I also challenge you to set your mindset to change your lifestyle in 2023, you are worth it!
